About Asti Livingston
Born in a fort in the Philippines on April 21, 1976 she is the oldest of two children. Asti is a descendant of the warrior clan Tjokrodiwirio and the Indonesian royal family Kusumadiningrat. Her father Emier being an engineer had to bring his young family along with him to Borneo while working on a field assignment. Asti spent her early childhood growing up in the jungles of Borneo living in a stilt wooden house shared by five other families. Elementary school years spent in a Catholic school in Jakarta, for high school she attended Benedictine Abbey School in Manila, Philippines while living with her grandmother. She graduated at the age of 15 and moved to San Diego, California to initially live with her aunt and uncle while attending Grossmont College. Asti completed her Associates Degree in Business then completed her Bachelor of Science Degree in Child and Family Development at San Diego State University. Part of a selected team led by Dr. Ritblatt Asti worked on the research, development, and discovery of the “Theory of Mind”. Her internship was spent working as a social worker at the Children’s Hospital of San Diego in the prevention of child abuse division.
Asti became part of the San Diego Mission Basilica Choir and sang at many weddings, various events which include the U.S.S. Kittyhawk, St. Mark’s Cathedral in Venice, St. Francis’ Cathedral in Assisi, and singing for the Pope at the Vatican in Rome. She was selected for a masterclass and trained by Marni Nixon who was the singing voice for Audrey Hepburn in “My Fair Lady”. Asti continues with her singing and now trains with Paula Griffith.
She is an actress, writer, producer, director, pilot, divemaster, and mother of four.
