When Asti first discovered scuba diving she never thought it would lead her to where she is today. The start was more so for curiosity and her interest in learning what lies beneath the sea. What she found is a place she calls home.
Asti completed her initial Open Water Certification, and went straight into Advance, Rescue, and various specialties. Her need to share what she had seen in the waters led her to train in Underwater Photography. “How else can I show the kids what I saw?” Asti explains, “I wanted to show why I love diving so much. I have the opportunity to show my family and friends creatures that we share this world with.”
Asti trains with Scuba 2000 in order to continue improving her skills. A Master Scuba Diver and Dive Master, Asti specializes in Underwater Fluorescent Photography and has published her first book titled “Wakatobi Underwater Life”.
When not on set filming, auditioning, or writing you can find Asti underwater helping new students learn to dive. Fellow divers ask her why she enjoys teaching so much. Her answer, "I love helping people learn and see that there is another world out there waiting for us to discover. I believe it gives us a better perspective and understanding when you can see the whole picture. Definitely enjoy seeing the smiles from new divers when they finally get it."
